Maka Albarn (マカ・アルバーン, Maka Arubān) is a one-star scythe meister at Death Weapon Meister Academy and the daughter of Spirit Albarn, the Grim Reaper's current weapon partner. Disgusted by her father's antics, she followed in her mother's footsteps and became a scythe-meister partnered with the magic scythe, Soul Eater, in order to create a Death Scythe more powerful than her.. Maka Albarn is the daughter of Spirit Albarn, the infamous Death Scythe and trusted partner of the mighty Lord Death himself. Her childhood began in warmth and security, but that foundation crumbled when her mother discovered Spirit cheated on her. Their divorce left Maka with a deep resentment toward her father and a determination to carve her own path. She later enrolled at Death Weapon.. Personally, I think it happened because she was unconscious. She hates her dad, and her dad is a Weapon, so since she was unconscious, that barrier of hatred disappeared, and she began acting on instinctual, self-preservation.
