RPCS3 doesn't continue compiling PPU modules after firmware installation Started by Dangel. Update: asked around some, the PPU recompiler should still be of the blocking kind, but there's like a handful of games across the entire PS3 library that trigger runtime PPU module compilation, so something is amiss. It also doesn't actually block for me in any of these cases. Seems like a bug overall.

Every time I want to play a new PS3 game I downloaded, it says before booting up Compiling PPU Modules along with a progress bar, but the problem is that it takes very long, I'm talking about that long as if I'm downloading something with Dial Up internet. Its that supposed to happen every time I boot up a new game or it's there a problem on my end?. Just did a fresh full PPU compilation of MGS4 myself on the latest rpcs3 master as of writing (0..26-14775) and it took only 44 minutes, 8.69 seconds on a stock 12700KF with all 4 e-cores enabled. All default settings, which means Max LLVM Compile Threads set to Auto (20).
