If the mini split is set to AUTO mode and the initial mode is cooling mode, both indoor and outdoor unit will be internally set to cooling mode.. E7 in certain mini splits indicate the outdoor unit fan motor is faulty. Kindly check if there.. E7 fixed when all zones are set for Heat - came on when I started turning on the heat for winter. I assume this will happen again when it's time for AC to work again
