2011 Honda CRV Alpine clock issue too. Got in my SUV on 1/3/22 clock read the date of May 20th an hour ahead. Thought the car battery was going bad but no cranking issues. Took it to a local Honda dealership to diagnose it. I had tried 3 times to change the month/date/time. It would not hold. After that the date read January 1, 2002. 3:00.. These digits count from 0-1024 and rollover to 0 after the completion of week 1024. Honda's head unit supplier did not code their head units to account for the rollover and, on January 1, 2022, reverted to a date and time 1024 weeks in the past. Honda's response: Honda is aware of the issue and says it will self correct sometime in August.
The newer CRV is automatically changed to the date and time when you plug in your phone. You never have to worry about the time being incorrect. Try the set up menu or the menu menu.. Yeah, there are all kinds of posts about it. Not just 2009 either. 2005 to 2012 I believe it said. Only the ones with the navigation. So many waited for August for it to auto update and it never happened.
