All current Mercedes-Benz models are equipped with the Mercedes-Benz emergency call system as standard. The emergency call function is active free of charge throughout the vehicle's entire lifecycle. It can be triggered automatically or by the driver pressing the corresponding button in the vehicle.. The "wrench" button is when you need mechanical help, towing, 24 hour assist, etc. The red "SOS" button is for emrgencies, in case of accident, heart attack, etc. My understanding is that if you do not pay MB for TeleAid, the first two do not work but the SOS button is always active for S Class cars.
